Playa de La Mata

The Playa de la Mata is the longest beach located in Torrevieja, Spain. The beach offers clean water, good facilities and plenty of space to relax.

It can be easily accessed from Playa de los Locos by moving further north along the coast. Unlike some of the busier city beaches, Playa de La Mata offers a more peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. It also offers surfable waves for beginners with a surf school available.

The beach features an attractive wooden promenade, perfect for a relaxing walk along the coast. Visitors can also enjoy traditional Spanish cuisine at the nearby restaurants.

At night, some restaurants turn into bars with dance floors, providing an alternative to downtown Torrevieja. This beach is suitable for nudists who enjoy clothing optional beach experiences.

Amenities on the beach include toilets, lifeguard, loungers, bars, and restaurants. Visitors need not worry about parking as there is a parking area available near the beach.
